Red Dirt Ruckus
Hailing from the Sierra foothills of El Dorado County, Red Dirt Ruckus create a musical landscape embracing a variety of genre’s that effortlessly blend together into a raucous and joyous “Musical Stew”. Elements of funk, reggae, bluegrass, Celtic, country and the blues surface, interact and create a sound that is muscular, melodic and unique within the modern progressive bluegrass scene. Unrestricted by a specific musical format, the Ruckus will weave a musical tapestry that will bring an endless smile to your face and inspire you to hit the dance floor all night long.
The Ruckus first played the Mine during the summer of 2019. They literally “brought down the house” and were considered by many to be the “show of the summer”. As an added bonus, this years performance will also feature “ace guitarist” Jonny Mojo (of Achilles Wheel fame) joining the band and performing an opening set w/ the Ruckus’ own, Doug not Josh. The duo, under the moniker of “Half Glass Honky Tonk”, will open the show and set the tone for the excitement that will define their set and carry on to the Ruckus as they rock us into the evening.
