Summer Work at a Gold Mine
Assistant Curator/Museum Director Position Available
Sierra County Historical Society is seeking an assistant curator to work at the Kentucky Mine Museum for the 2018 summer season. The hours are from 9:30-4:30 five days per week including weekends, and the compensation is $15/hour.
The duties include conducting tours, computer work, maintaining exhibits, and running the gift shop. Candidates must be high school graduates or possess a GED. Background and/or interest in the California Gold Rush is desirable.
The assistant will be trained to give tours and work with artifacts. For a complete list of duties and responsibilities, please refer to the job description.
